Well today was a little fun reminiscing about the beginning of our relationship.
Our most common question is "How are you together for 25 years and still so in love?"
Well this is a tough one to just answer in one episode. As its not just one thing. There are many steps to get us to where we are now and there are so many more steps to keep us going in the future.
So we decided to try and break it down for you in stages.
Today we reminisce about what we feel helped us get through the beginning stage of our relationship.
It was fun talking about what stood out for us separately.
It was important to Nina for us to show our true colors, Be ourselves. So we can actually fall in love with who we really are. As apposed to pretending you are something you are not to try and impress each other. Only to be surprised later when your true self seeps through. You know... No surprises!
For Roger it was being patient with the speed your partner is used to. Not trying to rush them to the next step.
"You go at your pace, if its meant to be they will eventually catch up."
Even though there were many tough times, Both really felt that support and reassurance helped them feel safe in the relationship. Communication about how things made them feel whether they were good our bad.
And of course we cant forget about having fun!
We hope you enjoy part 1 of this little series and stay tuned for the rest.
